Armed Forces Opportunities
Armed forces & uniform services
ABM recognises those who are serving and former personnel in our armed forces and uniform services. We are Silver members of the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme. At ABM we have a global network of impact groups including an Armed Forces Working Group (AFWG) in the UK and Ireland. We are supporters of associated armed forces charities such as Walking With The Wounded and The Gurkha community.
Transitioning to civilian employment
As well as celebrating our people and understanding their armed forces' service experiences, we identify transferable skills and challenges faced when transitioning to civilian employment. We have a support network, not only for serving and former personnel but also for their family members, recognising their experiences and skills which are transferable into our areas of business including Aviation, Facilities Management and Technical Solutions.
Welcome to the family
We have trained Mental Health First Aiders who are on hand to support our armed forces colleagues with any issues they may be facing both at work and in their private lives. We unapologetically and proudly support and celebrate those who have served our country and our allies, recognising their service and welcoming them to our ABM family.
